Voter Survey Knox Park With Cate Faehrmann
Special Guest Cate Faehrmann will share a few words before heading out with us!
Cate has a long history as an activist for women’s rights and the environment. She's been on the front lines with the LGBTIQ+ community in the fight for equality, an unwavering voice for dying with dignity, and has fought for animal welfare.
She has been active in many environmental and social justice organisations, including as Chair of Sea Shepherd Australia, Executive Director of the Nature Conservation Council of NSW, founding director of GetUp! and on the board of the Environmental Defenders Office NSW.
Doorknocking is one of the most effective campaigning tactics we have at our disposal as it gives us the opportunity to talk to the community face to face, allowing us to have more persuasive conversations. It is the best way to change someone’s vote and so it’s very important that we get out there and talk to as many voters as possible.
We will meet 9am in the shade at Knox Park, Murwillumbah.
If you have not doorknocked before, that is totally okay. We will run a brief training at the start and we will make sure you are paired up with someone who is experienced so you can learn from them. Everyone will be paired up so you don’t have to worry about doing it alone.
